It all started when…

I started Propellers in 2018 as a software consultancy serving local- and remote-based Ruby on Rails application development teams. But as I reflected on my experience and the industry as a whole, I started to have a larger vision for Propellers than “just another” consultancy.

My reflections led me to two conclusions:

  1. Collaboration between people matters much more than we thought.

  2. Processes and tools don’t matter nearly as much as we thought.

I began to wonder:

“Is it possible to deliver the same level of value as the Big Four consultancies without all the baggage and headaches?”

This idea led to the Propellers philosophy: great software starts with great people.
